I think Google is doing well on energy savings. And I believe that Google will do as much as they can to save energy and use clean sources of energy as if this is possible.But when you are as big as Google, it's not a surprise that you get complaints from all kinds of organizations. Personally I think these organizations are very happy to deal with Google. Better then to talk to hundreds of smaller companies who even not have they amount of money Google has to realy do something about it.I'm convinced that in the long term we are much better off this way.
what are the variables used when you make these calculations. I am interested in the actual equations used by both Google and the researches who claim that two Google search have the same Carbon footprint as boiling a kettle of water...Or are we just expected to take your word for it...??? (not that it's going to stop me from searching for ramdom useless words and subjects on Google anyway)
